Team Twister – Up and Running (Dancing, actually!) Sunday, September 28:  The Team Twister Organizational Meeting and Audition was held at the John Thomas Gay & Lesbian Center, Dallas, Texas.  A short meeting and a new routine were part of the night’s activities.  The first official performance is scheduled for November 15, as part of our hosting of GayBINGO night at the Lakewood Theater. It’s not too late to join the team!  Just show up to rehearsal Sunday, Oct 6, or contact Dan: dan@texastwisters.org.  

Twisters to Support AIDS Arms LifeWalk 2003
Texas Twisters will once again have a team participating in the annual AIDS LifeWalk, being held this year at the Dallas City Hall Plaza on Saturday, October 4 at 9am.  Beneficiaries of this charity event include AIDS Services of North Texas, Dallas Urban League / Health & Human Services, and the Resource Center of Dallas.  To participate as a walker, runner, or to contribute donations, contact Bob L. at originalbob@texastwisters.org.  

Couples Dance Workshops
Deby Clark, Team Twister’s new coach, has been scheduled to teach the “Classic” Two Step couples dance, not to be confused with the Texas Two Step (which Dan will gladly explain is technically a three-step).  The workshops will be held at the John Thomas Gay & Lesbian Community Center, with admission being $7 for current Twister members / $12 for non-members.  Refer to the calendar for exact dates and times.
